This was the first cat gouache painting I had ever done. I had just been gifted a set of HIMI gouache paints for my birthday in 2022, and my cousin commissioned me to paint her a cat for one of her teachers. This was definitely a challenge for me at the time, considering that I did not feel confident in my painting abilities at all. But painting this cat was super fun, and had ignited a phase of painting just cats for the next two years.
